Logan Car India launched by Mahindra & Renault
Mahindra indian automobile giant joined hands with world french automobile brand Renault, to launch Mahindra Renault Logan in India.
This midrange sedan car boasts refined mechanical &
technological upgradations such as the three engine options in the form of 1.4, 1.6 and 1.5 for petrol & diesel. Everyone has varied as the speed limit by their engine capacity which are still in coordination with a five-speed manual transmission
. The petrol engines can deliver an average of 10-13 km
per litre while diesel engines can produce 16 to 19 km per litre. The

The price of the 1.4 litre and 1.6 litre petrol versions of Logan will start from Rs 428,000 (ex-Mumbai), while the 1.5 litre diesel versions will be available in the range of Rs 547,000 and Rs 644,000 (ex-Mumbai). Logan Engine Specification:
Logan comes in 1.4L GL / GLE, 1.6 litre GLS and DLE / DLS 1.5 diesel variant. GL is the basic variant, while GLS / DLS is the premium version. Indian Logan gasoline is equipped 1.4L, 1.6L and 75hp, 84.5hp while the diesel engine is powered by 1.5L,
65hp CRDi (Common Rail Direct Injection). Instead 105bhp 1.6L engine Renault has chosen less powered 84.5bhp, 1.6L gasoline engine for India as the Indian diesel variant is cut by 5hp motor that its European counterparts, but still torquier that most of its Indian peers. But gasoline Logan is less powerful and less torquier compared to Fiesta, city, Accent, Verna and TATA Indigo. Mahindra previously created an entry SUV segment with the bolero and I think he intends to follow the same with the essence of Logan. Mahindra Logan gasoline in the mid subcategory debate will match Ford Ikon hatchbacks and the premium as Getz and Maruti Swift. At the same time, Logan diesel will take on a real debate of the mid cars. Company officials say that the Indian version of Logan is a fuel-efficient vehicle. I purchased LOGAN CAR last year from your dealer at KORBA city i.e. AUTO CENTRE and availing all free services. but your dealer only change the gear oil and wash the car.
now I am hearing some sound from doors, cabinet etc. what can I do now.

On May 31-2009, an incident happen at 4:50 PM , the Mahindra Logan Diesel Model DLE 1.5, caught fire A RUNNING CAR CAUGHT FIRE !!! A DIESEL VARIENT” .
Fortunately i and my drive both are safe.

In SRF Ltd, we purchased 3 logan Diesel cars from India Garage, Chennai. Though the performance of the Car is good, the service is poor.
TN 20 BZ 2657 is the car used by me and I am trying to replace the mudflap for the front wheels for the past 6 months. Though I have sent the car thrice to the workshop, the mudflaps are not replaced. Every time they come out with the reason that they do not have stock.
Similarly the quality of service is also very poor. Though we have purchased 3 cars simultaneously and all the cars are going to the same service station, the response is not good. We are also contemplating to take it up in the appropriate forums like consumer redressal forum etc.

I have purchased the car last year Diesel model. There are series of complains in the car. All tyres are finished in 10 months and i had to change all the tyres. Brakes are finished so i paid again for the brakes. Twice the car ac was not working because the gas was leaked . Twice we had to pay within warranty. All doors and trunk always have noise. I would sugest everyone never buy a logan . It is hopeless car . Overall the car mileage i am getting is 11-12 km per ltr.
which is common they said we will get 20 km per ltr.

I purchased a Logan 1.6 GLX petrol with CNG Kit Landy Renzo in nov 2009. The CNG kit is supposed to have a storage capacity of 12 kgs. I have filled CNG on more than 10 ocassions and at 3 to 4 different CNG filling stations. The max fill I got for CNG was 8 kgs. I discussed this issue with Mahindra workshop and service station located at Thane and no one seems to know the reason. If there is a pressure issue at the CNG station, it cannot always be short by 4 kgs. Can some technical person from Mahindra clarify.

I have purchased mahindra Logan Edge 1.4 GLX recently from Utkal Automobiles Ltd. Bhubaneswar. I am not happy with Mahindra as they write their Tag line “Mahindra with u hamesha”. I think they should Change their tag line to “Mahindra After selling the vehicle we forget u hamesha”. One n half months back I had purchased my vehicle n still i have not received the registration papers of my vehicle. The sales executive is not receiving my calls n this become a big problem for me as i cann’t travel anywhere without the papers. I complained to customercare also. but there is no response. So this was my last deal with mahindra n this experience taught me never to purchase anything which is from mahindra. I will suggest others also not to purchase vehicle from mahindra.

On the Date of 31th may 2010 my car Mahindra Logan RJ 14 TA 7902 got problem with Right side front pad and at the same date i went K.S. Motors Jhotwara jaipur and ask for the replacement as i thought that it was under guarantee period. but they told me that my car has crossed 20,000 KM and the guarantee is only under 20,000 KM. I agreed with that and paid for the part required.
On the date of 01th june 2010 my Another car Mahindra Logan RJ 14 CG 6849 got the same problem and again i went to the service center now this car has crossed just 17000 not 20000KM and the interesting part is this time they said that this part is not covering the guarantee of replacement. and they refused to replace the part.
Now i want you to look into the matter and resolve. I want you to solve this within a week… plz speak to your dealer and do let me know when he is replacing this. If this is not been done I am going to consumer court and definitely this will not be in favor of you.
I hope you understand the importance of this issue.

I want to purchase Logan 1.5 DLE in Hyderabad. The price the dealers quoting is 7,02,000/-, where as the websites showing a price of 6,48,000/-.
I do not understand why the difference between mumbai and Hyderabad prices is 50k..!!!
Can I expect an answer from Mahindra..?? pls.

I have been driving Mahindra Logan DLE version (TN45 AK 2334) since november 2007. On February 14,while the vehicle was on Chennai highway, it got stopped suddenly and been towed to Shiva Automobiles, Trichy. I had been told there, the problem was with the engine and would be explained in detail in few days. After few days I was told that the turbo tube got cut, the engine oil drained, the engine got seized and to be replaced. And the charges they projected is around Rs.2,90,000/-. I was really shocked.
All the services of my vehicle were done properly within date and kilometres and with Shiva Automobiles. The vehicle is covered under extended warranty. So far there were no major complaints. I asked them, it should be covered under warranty since the vehicle was in good condition until the previous service done by them. But they refused.
Now, I am really confused where to complain about it. I haven’t got any report about the complaint till date.
I require the company’s help on this regard.

Dear Sir / Madam
I am putting this on record after suffering badly from very bad
quality service & workmenship rendered by M/s Shiva Auto Car (India)
Pvt Ltd. at their workshop in Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, UP.
I gave my car for Paid servicing on 21.08.2010 the car was returned to
me in the late evening without doing complete job, as these were
Ramzan days & most of the staff were keeping roza and use to leave
early without doing their complete work as told to me by other staff
present in their workshop. The Air flow setting of AC of my car was
disturbed after opening the dashboard for attending a loose wiring
leading to cabine-door light. I paid Rs. 6696/= for an incomplete
job.
I registered my complaint to their telecaller & they promissed to
attend & rectify the defects. After persistently following up they
agreeed to attend to the incomplete jobs and on 31.03.2011 they
attended to Air flow setting of the car. The AC air flow was
adjusted but the connections of the CD player were not made which I
checked up after comming home as the mouth of the CD player was not
allowed in the w/shop. Also the car was now returned in the evening
making noise from engine in idle running condition. I had to pay Rs
2065/= including Ac service charges & Misc work charges to the tune
of Rs. 800/=
Imediately I pointed out these defects which were not there when the
car was given to their workshop in the morning. My car was then
picked up by the workshop staff on 03.02.11 & I was told on phone that
the noise comming from engine was from AC Motor belt or Alternator
belt bearings which need to be changed, I pointed out & submitted the
certificates of extended warranty of my car.
After doing all the formalities my car was returned to me on
10.02.2011 (after 8 days) after changing the Rubber pads of the gear
box, torque rod etc and the alternator as told to me for which they
had reportedly taken sanction from M/s Mahindra. Again I had to pay

Rs. 3424/= including Rs.1100/ = towards Gear Box O/H and Misc work.
When the car was returned to me the AC air flow was again disturbed
and when I repeatedly took up the matter with them and questioned as
to what type of service is given by them they agreed to adjust the AC
air flow properly.
On 16.03.2011 they picked up my car and took it to their Sahibabad
Workshop. I was told over telephone that a box in the AC from where
Air flow is directed is Broken & needs replacement. The cost of the
box as told to me on phone is about Rs. 10000/=.
When I contended with them that the car has been attended thrice by
them in their workshop it was never told to me that this part of the
AC is broken. More over the car has never been attennded by any other
person other than their staff in their workshop how this part can get
broken except due to mishandling by untrained staff or bad
workmenship of their staff in the workshop.
I told them that since my car is under warranty and the damage if any
to the AC part has been caused by them at their workshop for which am
not going to pay. Further, I insisted that the AC part need to be
changed by them at their cost or under the warranty terms.
After all this they dropped my car at my residence on 16.03.2011 with
out attending to the above defect or replacing the broken AC part.
this has been told by the Driver of the workshop. On checking the air
flow of the AC he told that the defect has not been attended. He
brought a bill of Rs. 176/= for Misc work which I refused to pay & I
spoke on phone to Mr. Thomas of M/s Shiva Auto about the same he
advised the driver to leave the car.
After suffering so much due to bad workmenship mishandling & poor
customer care & customer service I feel dejected & repent my decision
to buy a Logan Car from M/s Mahindra.
I am putting this complaint with a hope that the above defect in my
car is rectified and the broken Ac part in my car is replace
immediately as my car is still under warranty till August 2011. I have
suffered so much for which M/s Shiva Auto is made accountable.
Hope to get solution from M/s Mahindra urgently.

I bought logan 1.6gls petrol on may 2008 it has good feautures but it does not have performence like a 1.6l engine its sterring is hard to drive it do not seems like a power stering is its stering really hard although its A.C is also not so effective its exterior rear lights give it a blushing look as it seems really good from the front plz rply me is itz steering really hard MY Email – somu.jaiswal0@gmail.com

I have M & M Logan can
In speedometer its display + 17 % speed more then actual speed.
for that I visited 3 time service center
but they cant repaired
last (3rd time on 18th jun-2011) i visited service center but they did nothing for that day i was in service center with my car up to 6 Pm from morning, but they reply that there no problem in your car
on 20th Jun 11 they emailed me
“in this case ” This is not a defect…… by definition, as per the IS or international standards, 10% +/- is allowed “”
but in my case its 17 % then also they reply me that
After that i contacted hipline on 1800 22 6006 regarding and after 10 time contact them they also reply that there is no problem in your car speedometer.
