Question by chantily:

Should I allow my daughter to travel to India to meet a man for marriage?
My daughter who is 21 met a man online from India. They have been speaking on line with a web camera for 3 months. They are convinced that they were made for each othe for marriage. He is willing to send money for her to travel to India so they can get a fiance’ visa for him to come to the US. I need advice in a hurry as she plans on leaving the end of March.

No No \no if he want to marry her let him come to you but never her send her there she may not get back, lots of cases of this

10 bucks says he’s gone in 2 years after the green card.

Answer by Wiz
Very bad idea, but since she is 21 there is really nothing you can do about it. Just pray she doesn’t end up in the sex slave trade somewhere. Good Luck

Answer by kattilac1
I personally would not be comfortable with it. But she is 21, and technically an adult. If you are paying for it however, nope, I would not. He can surely get a temp visa to come here, to the US on his own. He should check in to that on his own. If he is an adult, ready for commitment, marriage, surely he can figure out how to do so on his own, and can research. There are to many weirdos out there, and if he has to find love online, Im betting hes one of them. He may not be, and could be totally normal and smart and financially secure and what not, but if thats the case, why is falling in love over the internet. To many psychos and killers and rapists for me to be comfortable with something like that. Get all the info you can on him, get ahold of some law enforcement of some kind, local might be able to help you, lead you in right direction, to gather dirt on this guy, if she insists on going. Surely your daughters life is worth a few bucks to find out some info on him……

Answer by nozynoddy
hell to the no. you send her over there you may never see her again. or she could become some sex slave, or dead. she’s safe here. tell her to find a man right here in the states. she’ll be mad but she’ll get over it. watch the movie “taken”. his daughter went out of state, got kidnapped and they put her on drugs, sold her and was getting ready to prostitute her. that stuff really happens you know. it’s not just a movie.

India Itinerary – Option C
Travel to India

I’m going to India from January 9 – March 5 of 2008! This is a slightly different plan from the other two. I still fly into Mumbai and visit many of the same cities, but stop over in Pune between Hampi and Kolkata, skip most of my wandering in West Bengal, and devote a specific stop to Agra rather than having it as a side trip from Delhi. Also, I think maybe everything was supposed to be backwards or something?

This seems like it would be somewhat more efficient in terms of travel. I’d much prefer the other two, but feel like I have to consider doing it this way.

Question by Jai S:

Can I travel to India with my Indian Passport as a US Citizen until I receive my US Passport?
I am about to get US Citizenship, but I am also about to deploy and will be hard to apply for a passport. Can I travel to India in the meantime with my Indian Passport? Has anyone done it?

mahindralogancar.com Chosen Answer:

Answer by Yak Rider
If you get US citizenship it’s REQUIRED that you enter and leave the US on a US Passport. There are no exceptions. Failure to use a US Passport are grounds for you to lose your citizenship.

You can get a passport in just a day or two. If you can’t go to a regional passport office, and stand in line all day to get it, you’ll find plenty of private companies, for about $ 400, who will do it for you.
