I was stucked in my logan far from my home due to some problem in fan belt and then came to know that there is some fault inalternator .I gave the car to sri durga auto delhi last week. But I am sorry That after so many messages ,mails, it has not been repaired with the reason that they have not recd. approval from the co. under warranty period. this is strange on the part of co. that for what they are waiting for . This should the internal part of co. and dealer not ours to get in followups for approvals. I want some fast positive action from the co. for which I am facing the problem without car. This is giving the bad impact on the co. to rethink before buyiing or suggesting any new car. My car No. DL 1CJ 6800 with VIN. no.

Hi Friends
I own a Logan Diesel. This is my first car and I was very excited about my decision to buy a car made by Mahindra. I bought the car on 22nd Sept, 2008. That was like a dream coming true for me. Since childhood I was dieing to drive a sedan car and that was the day. I put my hard earned money to get this car. The car was giving me amazing experience. Excellant control, efficient mileage, great space but gradually It developed noise in the cabin. In just 2 years, where I could drove hardly 21000 km, the cabin has become very noisy. The doors rattle like anything. I stay in Chhattisgarh where the road conditions are very good even though I feel very low in driving my dream car. I took my car to service station several times to fix the problem but all in vain. They change couple of bush used in doors which kill the voice hardly for couple of months. If anyone has a solution to this problem, kindly advice.

I am also owning a Logan Car. I was also very much excited and felt very proud to own a sedan. Before this I was driving a Maruti Zen. Now already two years have passed since my purchasing this car.
The follwoing problems I am facing with the car :
1. Sound of the door locking mechanism – This seems to be a major manufacturing defect in the car. Everytime I take the car for rectification of the same, some bush change is done and it does not solve the problem. In fact I found that no one in interested to solve the problem bby any root cause anal;ysis and goes for quick fix solutions which are always futile.
2. The door one one side and the dicky cover has developed some marks. With my knowledge of engineering, I am sure that this has happened due to bad painting procedure. This type of problem can only happen in case the surface preparation is not upto the mark or there is moisture intrusion during application of primer. The saddest part is that even after I have dropped the car in the workshop (M/s Royal Motors/Kolkata) on 28th June 2011, till today there is no response from the workshop. On enquiring from my side, I have been advised thatthough the complaint has been conveyed to their principals, there is no response from their side.
3. Insensible attitude of the workshop people is also a matter of concern.
After handling this car for last three years, i am now convinced that such experiment of buying new variant of cars should not be resorted to.
Everypone should be discouraged to buy Logan, which will only increase their woes.
